This girl is my heart. From the moment I met her I knew I was blessed and she's been blessing me ever since. When I was pregnant, my father in law repeatedly reminded me that the Lott's don't have girls, so I was essentially doomed to a life of men. I told him I would call him when I was right! He loves this girl as much as I do! This is the girl who used to demand that we said her hair was pink and wore nothing but pink every day for at least 3 years straight. She was always fancy and would only wear dresses. She hated getting her hands dirty and really any part of herself dirty. The first time we took her to Disney, she was terrified of all the characters but by the next time she desperately wanted to be a princess.
She aims to please and to this day still gets heartbroken if she makes a bad choice and you can find her hiding in her closet until she feels better-not that she makes very many bad choices. She loves her brothers in a way I rarely see and has a special bond with each of them. She loves her friends and is passionate about helping others. She loves to read and will spend hours a day in her room lost in a book. When she grows up she wants to be a chef and will always help me in the kitchen. She loves sports and being active-running races with her dad is so fun for her.
As she grows into a young woman, I feel sad that she's no longer my sweet baby who used to pull my hair to soothe herself to sleep, but I know that God blessed me with a very special angel and I really don't deserve to be her mother. We all tell our children that we hope they have a child just like they were as a child. Well, if Emma only has babies as easy as her then she will be one lucky girl indeed.
