Today I am thankful for my husband of 15.5 years. We met while working at Hersheypark when we were both still in high school. We went to college 1.5 hours away, but still saw each other most weekends and then we married the year I graduated.
We have been through it all together and I wouldn't want anyone else by my side. He provides for the family so I can stay home. He is a fantastic father. He would do anything for anybody. When you are in the trenches of raising small children, I think it's very difficult to stay close to your spouse, but now as the kids get older and need less hands on daily care, it's nice to know we made it through and this is the person I will spend the rest of my life with. I can't wait to pack up and travel the world with him someday!
Yesterday he ran the New York marathon and his family couldn't be more proud of him! He has the entire family running now! So today I say thank you Brian for putting up with me all these years and for continuing to be my better half!
Don't walk in front, I may not follow.
Don't walk beside, I may not lead.
Just walk beside me and by my friend.
